Hi, I'm Adelie k 👋

Welcome to my first webpage for ICT 8. I built this in VS Code using HTML, CSS, and a tiny bit of JavaScript.

About Me

some of my current interests/hobbies are, pin or badge making. its a fun simple process where you can make pins out of drawings, printed out imags, or really anything paper like. another hobbie which somewhat ties in with the first is drawing, both digitally with a ipad and traditionally with pens, markers, paints, and so on. A funfact is i have a double jointed arm or elbow allowing to bend it in weird ways, imagine a flamingos legs. One of my goals or this class were to learn how to create a video game as even outside of this class i have been intrested in them, as i play a few myself.

Course Reflection

In our first unit, otherwise known as essential skills my favourite part was making the how to posters as it was fun to look back at all the information I had already learned and retell it in my own words. The thing I found most challenging was figuring out saving to my H-drive as it took awhile to earn where to click into and find anything, there’s not much from this unit that id really be interested in learning more about. These skills will be helpful in the future when I need to find folders or do work for school as being able to know how to find your files is very helpful. In the second unit or digital media, I found the Canva section the most interesting, as Canva is a simple to use website with many features to look at and learn about. I personally found the excel section in this unit the most challenging as its layout is quite challenging to look at, Aswell as the fact you more need-to-know wat the operations are instead of it being clear to what they are. Like the previous unit I don’t have much more I wish to learn about any items in this section, as well as ill be able to use this information in future school or job work. Game development or the third unit was my favourite out of the four as I found it was the most interactive out of the bunch. The thing I found most challenging in this unit was finding the global variables to progress in the game as it took awhile for me to be able to find the project manager, I would like to further dive into this topic in the future with either making new types of games or overall, just learning more about coding. I’m not very sure about how this unit will help me in the future. Web development was the final unit and a pretty fun one at that, I enjoyed the aspect of changing colours on the website to make it look nice. there wasnt really anything i found to hard in the process of making my website. I would like to learn more about making my own website without a base, more learning the code patterns and how they work with each other. In the future I could use this to make websites to sell items or as an information centre for others to use.
